Frederick Lumber Company has been Frederick’s most trusted local lumber store since 2002. But what started as an extensive, handpicked inventory for the local community has grown into something larger: a regional destination for contractors and craftspeople, and a source for exotic, domestic, and figured woods, shipped to all 50 states and around the world.

Neil Gager founded Frederick Lumber Company more than twenty years ago with a simple mission: a specialty lumber yard that caters to everyone and carries a substantial range of both domestic and exotic lumber, plywood, and offers millwork services. Not just the exotics. Not just the commodity stock. Everything. From cabinet-grade plywood and bulk sheet goods to ethically sourced figured woods and one-of-a-kind live-edge slabs.
That mission hasn’t changed. Today we carry more than a hundred species of domestic and exotic lumber, a large stock of cabinet-grade plywood and sheet goods, and a milling operation capable of custom profiles, cuts, shaping, surfacing, re-sawing, and more.
